I recently got a hearing aid for my dad, who is 95 years old. I was bowled over by the quality of service rendered by the Amplifon clinic in Gariahat, Kolkata. I must mention Mr Jagannath Sahu, the audiometrist and Debashree. Mr Sahu conducted an extremely thorough audiometric test and very patiently explained to dad how a hearing aid can significantly improve his quality of life. My dad, who was skeptical and apprehensive in the beginning, became a convert. The onboarding experience was also great. The device came quickly and they came home to fit it, calibrate it and explain the workings to dad. The whole process was very well coordinated by Debashree. All in all, a great experience and I will give it two thumbs up!! I will subsequently post a review of the device per se once dad has used it for a month at least. But so far all good.
